LE: Role Types

Managers are able to create users in a variety of roles, each featuring different permissions and levels of access. There is no limit to the number of users you can have in each role.

License Manager:  The License Manager is a unique role in Guardify, designated to one Manager that oversees all settings for your office. This user has access to all features in Guardify, as well as the ability to set office-based settings and delegate unique user permissions to other Managers. The License Manager is set up by Guardify Support. Please reach out to us at support@guardify.com regarding any questions.

Manager: The Manager role has the ability to create and edit users in your office, as well as create and manage cases. Managers can have cases shared with them or transferred to them. They can also edit some specific office-level settings, as well as be given the ability to edit permissions for other users by the License Manager. It is the highest level of access you can give to a user. Click here for more information on the Manager role.

Investigator: The Investigator role type is a role that can be assigned to users who need to be able to manage cases, but not manage users or account settings. When you give a user the Investigator role, they will be able to create and manage cases, as well as share cases with existing users, and request to add new users. Click here for more information on the Investigator role.

User: The User role is a limited, share-only way of giving users access to evidence in your office. Setting someone as a user gives you the ability to share cases with them and determine which files are shared with them, as well as the specific duration. Users are able to have permission granted to them to upload files into cases that are shared with them, as well as download evidence. Click here for more information on the User role.

Uploader: The uploader role is for users that you need to be able to upload evidence to your office, but not give access to anything else. The uploader role will only have access to upload files to your incoming files area of Guardify, and cannot have evidence shared with them. Click here for more information on the Uploader role.
