Pro: User Role Overview

The User role type should be given to users that only need limited access to specific cases. Users will only have access to what is shared with them, and can only upload into cases that they are given specific permission to do so. 

Access Cases

Users can have cases shared with them with various access given depending on what access was shared with them by the Manager of the case. This includes access to case evidence, case history, video tags and video transcripts, and the ability to upload additional case evidence.

When a case is shared with a User, they will receive an email notifying them that a new case has been shared, and each case will be listed in their Cases tab when they log into Guardify. 

Before a User can access a case, they will be required to agree to an Evidence receipt if one has been set up by the office that shared the case with them.

View Evidence

When a User accesses a case, they will be able to see only the files that the Manager shared with them. Streamable Video files will be viewable in the case file, as well as the transcript for those videos if the Manager enabled that permission. They can also preview photos and documents within the case file. 

Download Evidence

Users will be able to select which evidence they want to download out of a case file by checking the boxes beside each file and creating a download package. These download packages will download directly to the user's computer when accessed.

Upload Additional Evidence

If a User has been given permission to upload additional evidence to a case, they can do so by clicking "Upload" from within the case file. This permission can only be given on a case by case basis. Users cannot upload files into an office's Incoming Files. 

Share requests

Users can request to have a case shared with them for longer, and can also request to have a case shared on with another user. Both of these requests can be made from within the case file.
