Enable Sharing With Original Downloads

In order for interview custodians to be able to give users the ability to download the original video file of an interview, their user permissions must be updated to allow them to choose the "original" download option when sharing an interview.

This permission can only be turned on by the license manager, or any manager user who has been given the "Manage Download Permissions" user permission.

To give the "Sharing with Original Downloads" user permission, first go to the "Users & Groups" list in your left hand navigation menu.

Next, search for the user you want to turn this permission on for, and then click the pencil icon that appears to the right of their name.

Then scroll down to the "User Permissions" section and click the checkbox for "Can share interviews with original (unencrypted) download permission" under "Sharing Interviews."

Note: If you do not have the "Manage Download share Permissions for other users" user permission turned on, you will not see the "can share interviews with original downloads" permission. Please check with the account license manager.

Once that user permission has been enabled, the user will be able to share interviews with the "original" download option. See the "Sharing with Original Download Permissions" article for a walkthrough on how to enable original downloads for recipients.
