How to Transfer Individual Interviews to a New Custodian

Transferring interviews allows your center to do a digital "handoff" of a forensic interview, changing the custodianship from one user to another. The custodian has full access to edit interview information, add attachments, and share the interview.

When a user has the "Transfer Own" user permission enabled, they can transfer interviews to a new custodian.

First, go to My Interviews and select Transfer from the 3-dot menu on the interview card.

The Select Custodian window will pop up, search for the person to whom you would like to transfer custodianship. 

Note: You are transferring custodianship to the person you select. 

If you want to still have access to this interview in your shared with me tab, keep the box checked to Share this interview with the current custodian.

You will be asked to confirm the action by typing TRANSFER into the provided field.

Then, click Confirm.

Transfer complete! The new custodian will receive an email notifying them that an interview has been transferred to them, and can be accessed under My Interviews.

If "Share this interview with me" was checked, the interview will now appear on the Shared With Me page of the previous custodian.
