How to Transfer Another Custodian's Interviews to a New Custodian, or Transfer Multiple Interviews at Once

Transferring interviews allows your center to do a digital "handoff" of a forensic interview, changing the custodianship from one user to another. The custodian has full access to edit, add attachments, and share the interview.

Transferring interviews can be done on a single interview or in a bulk action. You are also able to transfer interviews in someone else's custody to a new custodian. To do this, the user must have the "Transfer All" user permission enabled.

First, log into Guardify and click "Interviews" in the lefthand menu. Then, click "Transfer" at the top right of the interviews page.

The "Select New Custodian" window will pop up. Search for the person to whom you would like to transfer custodianship to. 

Note: You are transferring custodianship to the person you select. If you would like to transfer someone else's interviews to yourself, you can select your own name here.

If you want the current custodian to still have access to this interview in the shared with me tab, keep the box checked to Share this interview with the current interview custodian.

Then click Select.

A table listing your center’s interviews will appear. Find interviews with the SEARCH button in the top right corner, or filter interviews using the dropdown menu at the top left corner of the list.  Sort interviews by clicking on the headers at the top of each column.  

Note: You can filter the available interviews by clicking the "Filter By" drop down at the top left of the page. This is handy if you are looking for interviews that are in the custody of a specific user, or if you're looking for interviews with a specific interview date.

Select one or more interviews to transfer using the check box to the left of each interview.  

You can Select All interviews on the page or in your filter using the dropdown menu in the header.  

When finished, click the TRANSFER button at the bottom of the page to continue.

You will be asked to confirm the action by typing TRANSFER and selecting Confirm. 

Transfer complete! The new custodian will receive an email notifying them that interviews have been transferred to them, and can be accessed under My Interviews.

If Share this interview with the current interview custodian was checked, the interview will now appear on the Shared With Me page of the previous custodian.
