Pro: File Properties

Files Properties are provided for each file that is uploaded to Guardify, based on the metadata that is present with the file at the time that the evidence is uploaded to a case. These file properties provide useful file detail for evidence verification and court submission.

File properties can be accessed when viewing evidence in Guardify by clicking on the file to preview it, and then clicking the "i" info icon at the top right of the file viewer.

File Properties can also be accessed from the list of files by clicking the 3-dot menu to the right of a file, and selecting "File Properties."

File properties can also be downloaded as an individual .txt file by clicking the download button in the File properties window that appears.

To download the file properties for multiple files at once, you can select the specific files that you want to download by checking the boxes to the left of the files, and then clicking the 3-dot menu at the top of your list of files. From there, select Export, and then "File Properties."

If you want to download the file properties for every file in a case, do not select any files, simply click the 3-dot menu at the top of your list of files, select "Export," and then select "File Properties."

From here, you will be asked to name a download package for the set of File Properties that you are downloading. Name your file, and then select whether you would like your File Properties to be downloaded as multiple files, or one single file.

Multiple Files:

This will download a .txt file for each file that you have selected. For example, if you have selected to download file properties for 5 image files and a video file, you will download 6 individual .txt files, one for each selected piece of evidence.

Single File:

This will download one master .txt file that lists the available file properties for every selected file in one document. For example, if you have selected to download file properties for 5 image files and a video file, you will download one .txt file that lists the properties for all 6 files.

Once you have made your selection, you will be brought to your "my download packages" tab where you can download your file properties directly to your computer once your download package is ready.
