How to Clear Your Browser History
Clearing your Browser History in Chrome
- Click the 3-dot menu at the top right corner of your browser
- Select "Delete Browsing Data..."
A box will appear that says "Delete Browsing Data" with some options to customize how you want to clear your data.
- In the "Basic" tab, change the "Time range" drop down to "All time."
- Make sure you check all three boxes for "Browsing history," "Cookies and other site data," and "Cached images and files."
- Click "Delete data" in the bottom right corner.
Please note that this may take a few minutes depending on how long it has been since you cleared your browsing history.
Clearing your Browser History in Fire Fox
- Click on the 3-line menu button at the top right of your browser to open the menu panel.
- Click History
- Select Clear Recent History….
- Click the drop-down menu next to Time range to clear and select "Everything."
- Check all of the check boxes under "History"
- Click "OK" at the bottom right
Clearing your Browser History in Edge
- Click the 3-dot menu at the top right of your browser
- select "Settings" from the menu that appears.
- Select "Privacy, search, and services" in the side bar that appears on the right.
- On the main page of the privacy window, scroll down to the Delete browsing data section and in the "Clear browsing data now " line, select "Choose what to clear."
- Under Time range, choose a time range from the drop-down menu.
- Choose the types of browsing data you want to clear. For example, you may want to remove browsing history and cookies but keep passwords and form fill data.
- Select Clear now.
