How to Clear Your Browser History

Clearing your Browser History in Chrome

  • Click the 3-dot menu at the top right corner of your browser 
  • Select "Delete Browsing Data..."

A box will appear that says "Delete Browsing Data" with some options to customize how you want to clear your data. 

  • In the "Basic" tab, change the "Time range" drop down to "All time."
  • Make sure you check all three boxes for "Browsing history," "Cookies and other site data," and "Cached images and files." 
  • Click "Delete data" in the bottom right corner.

Please note that this may take a few minutes depending on how long it has been since you cleared your browsing history.


Clearing your Browser History in Fire Fox

  • Click on the 3-line menu button at the top right of your browser to open the menu panel.
  • Click History

  • Select Clear Recent History….

  • Click the drop-down menu next to Time range to clear and select "Everything."
  • Check all of the check boxes under "History"
  • Click "OK" at the bottom right 


Clearing your Browser History in Edge

  1. Click the 3-dot menu at the top right of your browser

  1. select "Settings" from the menu that appears.
  1. Select "Privacy, search, and services" in the side bar that appears on the right.

  1. On the main page of the privacy window, scroll down to the Delete browsing data section and in the "Clear browsing data now " line, select "Choose what to clear."

  1. Under Time range, choose a time range from the drop-down menu.

  1. Choose the types of browsing data you want to clear. For example, you may want to remove browsing history and cookies but keep passwords and form fill data.
  2. Select Clear now.
